A dull bang – then a mother in St. Wolfgang (Upper Austria) found her son outside on the terrace on the night of Whit Monday. She checked because the blow woke her up. The seriously injured were taken to the Salzkammergut clinic by the emergency doctor.
In addition to the Red Cross, the police were also alerted because it was unclear where and why the 48-year-old had crashed. The officers were also able to find the victim’s wife in the apartment on the second floor of the house and reconstruct the accident: the couple had gone to a party on Whitsun and arrived home together around 10 p.m.
Opened on the terrace
They had also sat together on the balcony and talked for about an hour. There was no arguing, but the woman went to bed alone around 11 p.m. and the man remained alone on the balcony. What happened next is unclear, but police believe it was an accident and no one “helped” the fall.
The man had sat on the railing or leaned over it and lost his balance. Then he fell down two floors and landed on the terrace.
