Major alarm late Tuesday afternoon on the B3 in the municipality of Hofamt Priel in Lower Austria after a report of a truck fire was received. The heavy transport truck charged electric cars. The fire brigade quickly arrived on the scene and tackled the smoking vehicles with special extinguishing agents.
An emergency call came in between Weins and Yspersdorf in the Melk district, where the fire brigade is especially in demand. According to initial reports, a truck that was also charging electric cars caught fire.
Several cars hit
The first images show that several cars were hit at the rear of the heavy vehicle. Several emergency services are on site and are trying to get the cause of the fire under control.
