In Maria Lankowitz (Styria) a spectacular incident occurred on Wednesday morning: a car landed in Pibersteinsee and the fire brigade had to be deployed. The occupants were able to save themselves.
The Maria Lankowitz Fire Department was alerted shortly after 4 a.m. for an early morning operation. When the Florianis arrived on the scene, they found a car in the Pibersteinersee. The vehicle had rolled into the lake for unknown reasons. The occupants were able to get out of the car before the accident.
The firefighters had their hands full pulling the car out of the medium-deep water with a winch. After the vehicle was recovered, the Pibersteinersee was checked for leaked assets.
