From the canal – Police officers from Vorarlberg rescued a family of ducks

Date:

Police officers recently showed their love for animals in the Vorarlberg municipality of Lustenau – where a whole flock of ducks fell into the canal.

Animal use for the police officers in the market town of Lustenau: A few days ago the police became aware of a female duck missing her ducklings. The reason for the animal’s panicky behavior was quickly discovered: the thirteen chicks had fallen through a grate into a canal.

The police officers did not hesitate long and rushed to help. The little ones could be rescued from the sewer with a so-called shovel rod. One of the animals was slightly injured and was handed over to animal protection. After a brief cat wash, the rest were immediately returned to the mother’s care.
