Some questions still remain unanswered. It is clear that the 78-year-old went to the recycling center in Stans shortly after 4 p.m. and wanted to deposit waste in the bulky waste container. For this he used the supplied metal stairs.

Moments later, a 57-year-old found the pensioner lying motionless at the bottom of the stairs. Police suspect the 78-year-old fell down the stairs and suffered life-threatening injuries. After the first treatment, the accident victim was taken to the clinic in Innsbruck.
