A 21-year-old told police Sunday night that she was strangled, pushed against a wall and threatened by her stepfather. And he has numerous firearms at home. The rapid intervention group and the Cobra task force were deployed to the house in the Feldkirchen district.
On Saturday around 11:45 p.m., the family gathering in a house in the Feldkirchen district escalated: a 21-year-old reported physical injuries and dangerous threats. Her stepfather, a 53-year-old German, strangled her, pushed her against a wall and threatened her. He had firearms in the house and her mother was also nearby and possibly in danger.
The Cobra task force and the police rapid intervention group responded immediately.
Suspect has barricaded himself
The suspect barricaded himself in a room which he made dark. Initially he did not want to cooperate. But then the officers arrived at the weapons locker, where they found and seized four long guns and two pistols, two knives, thousands of rounds of ammunition and an illegal brass knuckle.
An entry and approach ban and a temporary weapons ban were issued against the suspect.
The stepdaughter went to the Villach LKH on her own, but no injuries were found. The investigations have not yet been completed. The Bodensdorf police are also working on the case.
