Twelve jurors found the former US president guilty of all 34 charges he faced for falsifying company records. He becomes the first former president of the United States to be criminally convicted.
The twelve jurors in the first criminal trial of the former president of the United States Donald Trumpthey found the magnate guilty of the Stormy Daniels case.
Specifically, he has been found guilty unanimously of the 34 charges he faced for falsifying business records, all related to paying back porn actress Stormy Daniels $130,000 to buy her silence about a sexual relationship in 2006.
With this conviction, Trump becomes the first former American president to be found guilty in a criminal trial.
After knowing the verdict of a popular jury in New York, sentence will only be known July 11.
Trump declared as soon as he left the courtroom that it was a “rigged” trial led by a “corrupt” judge. “The real judgment will be pronounced by the people on November 5,” he said, referring to the presidential election. In this sense, he has asked his supporters for donations to finance the election campaign.
