A car suddenly caught fire on the A2 towards Graz near Wiener Neudorf in the Mödling district. The driver of the vehicle was able to park the small car on the broken vehicle and get to safety, the Wiener Neudorf fire brigade said in a press release. Fortunately he was unharmed.
When the Florianis arrived, the highway police, the Red Cross and Asfinag had already brought the fire in the engine compartment under control with the help of several hand fire extinguishers. Unfortunately, they were unable to completely extinguish the fire.
