The Viennese police had to respond to the Favoriten district on Saturday because a 29-year-old man had threatened to kill a friend over the telephone. He then damaged his mother’s furniture with a knife. A report was filed against the man and the weapon was confiscated.
For reasons that are still unclear – but he had 1.6 per mille of alcohol in his blood – the 29-year-old Austrian called his friend (24) and threatened to kill him with a knife. In a rage, he then destroyed furniture in his 50-year-old mother’s apartment with a knife and ran away with the gun.
Reported for dangerous threats
Police officers arrested him not far from the apartment and confiscated the knife. A temporary weapons ban and a ban on entering and approaching his mother and her apartment were issued against him. He also received a complaint for dangerous threats.
