Horror accident in St. Kathrein am Hauenstein (Styria): While turning the hay (“spinning”), a farmer’s tractor started to slide. The vehicle, which weighed several tons, overturned and landed on its roof on the forest road. The driver saved his life by jumping out of the cab.
To save the tractor, the FF St. Kathrein fire brigade had to call on their comrades from Krieglach with the heavy rescue vehicle last weekend. The accident vehicle could be reassembled with the help of a crane.
Fortunately, the farmer was unharmed. “The driver was able to escape by jumping out of the tractor,” the fire brigade said. The Florianis was on rescue duty with 15 men.
