Two people were injured in a collision on the A2 in Carinthia towards Vienna on Saturday. Only the fire brigade was able to free a 25-year-old man from the wreckage.
Around 1 p.m., a 55-year-old man from the Wolfsberg district was driving his car on the A2 towards Vienna when a 25-year-old Hungarian crashed his car into the guardrail. “The reason for this is still unknown,” police said.
In any case, the 25-year-old crashed into the 55-year-old’s car, causing the young man to become trapped between the concrete barrier and the car: “The man could only be rescued from the vehicle with the help of a rescue worker!”
Injured to an undetermined extent
Both people involved in the accident suffered undetermined injuries and were taken to the Klagenfurt clinic by the emergency services. In addition to the police and rescue services, the FF Völkermarkt and Griffen were also present with a total of 30 emergency services. Due to the accident, the A2 towards Vienna was closed from Völkermarkt West.
