A mountain trip for a 32-year-old ended on Saturday in hospital in Tarrenz in the Tyrolean Oberland: after a rock had broken out on the way, the woman fell several meters into a rubble gutter. She had to be rescued by helicopter.
The accident in the Alps happened just after 13:40. While crossing the Heiterwand, a loose rock suddenly erupted in the area of the Tarrentonspitze en route.
Injured by helicopter to hospital
The 32-year-old Amsterdammer then lost her balance and fell a few meters into a scree. The woman suffered serious injuries. After the first aid, the alpinist flew with the rescue helicopter to the hospital in Reutte.
