Was very drunk – man (64) points a revolver at police officers in Vienna

Date:

Because a heavily drunk man in Vienna-Meidling had insulted a paramedic, the police had to be called for support on Sunday. What happened next: The 64-year-old took a revolver out of his shopping bag and pointed it in the direction of the emergency services.

The operation in Meidling took place around 8:30 p.m. According to police, the 64-year-old was evicted from a homeless shelter because of his heavy drinking. The man then lay down on the sidewalk.

Started swearing at paramedics
Paramedics were then called to make sure the man lying on the ground was okay. But the drunk probably didn’t like it at all: he started insulting the rescuers and the police had to be called.

Revolver pulled from shopping bag
Officers from the Am Schöpfwerk police station seized the property. When the man had left the location and walked a few meters further, he shouted something towards the officers. When they turned to the man again, he took a revolver from a shopping bag and pointed it towards the legs of the police officers. With their service pistols drawn, the officers asked the man to drop the weapon.

The 64-year-old complied with this request. He was arrested.
