References to Adolf Hitler’s alleged favorite food repeatedly lead to people in Austria being reported for re-engagement – especially when they post pictures of egg dumplings with green salad on the occasion of Hitler’s birthday on April 20. Such was the case with a Viennese who just posted a picture of the dish in question on Facebook.
The suspect wrote under the photo: “One day nice.” But with the help of his lawyer Sascha Flatz, the man was able to avoid punishment.
His argument that it was merely a dietary insult to “provoke” the defendant’s nutritionist was believed. Because “through our testimony, we were able to convince the prosecutor that he had no intention of reactivating,” Flatz said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
“Be careful what you post online”
The Public Prosecution Service has stopped the investigation against his client. Flatz published the corresponding notice on X. At the same time, he warns: “Be careful with what you post online.”
In a conversation with other users who frequently commented on the lawyer’s post, he emphasized: “He didn’t want to be funny, but rather provoke that he didn’t stick to his diet. The whole conversation was about how unhealthy this food was and no one involved knew that this was considered code. Not everyone knows that!”
