Terrible accident with a tractor on Sunday afternoon in Alpbach in the Tyrolean district of Kufstein: a 63-year-old tractor driver fell with his vehicle from a steep slope and seriously injured his head.
The accident happened shortly before 4:00 p.m. on the so-called Thalgrabenweg. The 63-year-old tractor driver was driving towards Inneralpbach when his right front wheel went over the edge of the road for unknown reasons.
The tractor then slid sideways across a steep meadow and rolled over several times. After about 60 meters it came to a stop against a tree and the steering wheel was thrown off.
Flew to the clinic
The man suffered serious head injuries in the accident. After the emergency doctor had given him initial treatment on the spot, he was flown by helicopter to the university clinic in Innsbruck.
