No gang war: – Knife attacks at gas stations leave three people injured

Date:

Vienna emergency services were called out twice Friday morning to knife attacks. Coincidentally, both incidents occurred at gas stations. The number of non-gang related attacks: three injured.

With a veritable armada of police cars and rescue vehicles, the Viennese emergency services left for the Gaudenzdorf belt at 08:40 on Friday. Stabbings were reported in front of a petrol station. Because there has been great unrest among the Viennese population after the past few weeks and there have been numerous gang war-like fights in the city, several emergency doctors and a large number of patrol cars were sent to the scene of the crime as a precaution.

No danger to life for 38-year-old
A 38-year-old man was found with multiple stab wounds in front of the gas station. As the professional rescue service of Vienna could confirm to the “Krone”, the man received urgent medical care and was then taken to a hospital. There was apparently no danger to life. There does not seem to be any connection with possible ‘gang wars’.

Two men were slightly injured by a knife
Only three hours earlier, there had been stabbings in the Exhibition Street of Leopoldstadt, also at a gas station. As the “Krone” could learn, a 25-year-old and a 50-year-old were stabbed around 6:00 a.m. However, the stitches and cuts may only be superficial injuries. The perpetrator is unknown and on the run.
