Two people were injured in a knife attack early Saturday morning near the Prater. Two men were suddenly attacked by a group of previously unknown perpetrators.
Witnesses found the wounded by cuts at 5:20 a.m. in the meadow at Oswald-Thomas-Platz and alerted the rescuers. They said they were attacked for no reason. A search for the perpetrators has so far been unsuccessful, the police said Saturday.
The victims did not suffer life-threatening injuries
A 25-year-old man suffered cuts to the back of his head. A 44-year-old suffered cuts to his arms and abdomen. The two victims received urgent medical care from the Vienna professional rescue service and were taken to a hospital. There was no danger to life.
