Shortly after it was announced that Joe Biden was withdrawing as the Democratic US presidential candidate, his Republican challenger Donald Trump spoke out. According to him, it would be easier to defeat Kamala Harris in the November elections than Biden.

Trump made a statement to CNN, a reporter wrote on X. Current Vice President Kamala Harris is considered the most likely successor to Joe Biden in the race for the White House.

However, she is struggling in polls, with 50 percent of voters having a negative opinion of the 59-year-old, while only 32 percent are positive.

The Republicans have already officially chosen their presidential candidate Donald Trump at a nominating party conference in Milwaukee.

Until recently, Joe Biden had repeatedly claimed that he was the only one who could beat Trump. But now he announced on Sunday that he would no longer run.

Trump attacks Biden
“The corrupt Joe Biden was not fit to run for president and he is certainly not fit to serve — and neither has Trump ever been!” “There has never been a president who has done more damage to our country, from energy independence to welcoming millions of illegal immigrants,” he also said in an interview with NBC News.

And Trump continued: “We will fix what he did.” When asked if he was surprised by the announcement, Trump replied: “He shouldn’t have run in the first place — he should have stayed in his basement.”
