The Tierschutzhof Pfotenhilfe is complaining about another case of animal cruelty. In the Peter-Pfenninger-Straße in Taxham (Salzburg), a pigeon was shot and injured on the wing and chest. X-rays confirmed the first suspicion: an air pressure cartridge was stuck in the body.
“Someone is shooting at animals in a densely populated area with a rifle,” said Pfotenhilfe boss Johanna Stadler, shocked. “What is going on in the city of Salzburg? After mutilated ducks and crows, the pigeons are now the victims of brutal violence? Someone must have noticed something like this!”.
Complaint has been filed
The pigeon is now on the mend. The leg helper has filed a report with the police.
