Heartless act in the Waldviertel town of Zwettl! A stranger dumped a cute kitten in a dumpster. Despite quick help from a vet, the velvet paw did not survive and had to be euthanized. The police are now looking for the perpetrator.
A serious case of animal abuse took place between midnight and 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday in the district town of Zwettl in the Waldviertel. Unknown persons threw away a kitten of four to six months old in a cadaver container on Schwarzenauer Strasse.
Velvet Paw was infested with maggots
He was found alive and quickly taken to the vet in Gföhl. He gave the young velvet paw an infusion to which the animal, which was massively infected with maggots and in great pain, no longer reacted and was euthanized.
The Zwettl police station is asking for any relevant information.
