The Secretary of the Organization of the Unified Police Union of Bizkaia has described the agreement with an organization like Desokupa as “very serious” and believes that the signature is “a clear example of how the union has abandoned its principles and has become a political tool”.
The secretary of the organization of the Unified Police Union (HIS P) from Bizkaia has resigned from his position and his status as a member due to the ‘ultra drift’ of this organization and its ‘unacceptable’ agreement on agent training with ‘Desokupa’a platform “that promotes discrimination and hatred“and what is he planning”weaken a legitimately constituted government“.
Two days after the Unified Police Union (SUP) and the Desokupa organization signed an agreement on self-defense training for 30,000 police officers, and through a letter addressed to the General Secretariat of the Unified Police Union in the Basque Country, the number two of the SUP in Bizkaia, has denounced that this organization “has become a political instrument that serves personal interests”. In the same way, he explains that his resignation from the position and his membership are due to “the ultradrift that SUP has been going through lately“.
The recent agreement for the training of officers with Desokupa, which he refers to as an “ultra organisation”, is “the point of no return in this drift”, he said, and he described as “very serious” the agreement with an organisation “… like Desokupa, which, he recalls, “has been reported on several occasions for coercion, intimidation and battery.”
In this way, he considers it “unacceptable” that the SUP “enters into alliances with an organisation that promotes discrimination and hatred against certain groups of people” and believes that this signature “is a clear example of how the union has abandoned its principles and become a political instrument.
Despite all this, he shows his hope that “the SUP reflect on your drift and return to its origins as an independent trade union committed to the interests of police officers.
