Successful festival – big departure: Frequencians quietly said goodbye

Date:

The Frequency Festival ended on Saturday with heavy rain. It was still a great success. For four days, 180,000 visitors celebrated the party of the year in St. Pölten.

The clean-up is in full swing: after three hot days, the Frequency final in St. Pölten was considerably wetter on Saturday evening. But the heavy rain could not dampen the good mood.

It did cause difficulties, however: stuck cars kept the emergency services on their toes. “All the slack caused problems,” says Romana Schuster of the ÖAMTC. Some of the vehicles were towed away using tractors.

Many visitors had already gone home on Saturday afternoon. A large number of people left immediately after the concerts that evening. Departing traffic caused delays on the western motorway and also in the city of St. Pölten on Sunday afternoon.

In four days, the Red Cross had to treat 2,044 patients, mostly with minor injuries or insect bites, and 74 people were taken to hospital.

From the perspective of the executive branch, a positive balance can be drawn from 70 reports of (according to the organizer) 180,000 visitors on four days of the festival: In addition to some physical injuries and thefts of mobile phones and wallets, small quantities of narcotics were also found. also seized. Fortunately, the concerns about security before the festival remained unfounded.
