An Innviertler (34) caused a spectacular accident with his car near Burgkirchen on Monday while driving too fast and without a valid driver’s license. His car overturned in a meadow and came to a stop on its side. The driver was so injured that he had to be taken to hospital.
The 34-year-old from Braunau was driving a car on the B147 (Braunauer Landesstraße) in the municipality of Burgkirchen on Monday afternoon around 12:00.
According to his own statements and the statements of witnesses, the man was probably driving much too fast.
The man from Innviertel drove his car in a left turn from the right side of the road. The vehicle overturned in the adjacent meadow and came to a stop about 120 meters later, lying on its driver’s side.
Admitted to hospital
The injured driver was freed from the wreckage by emergency workers and taken to Braunau Hospital after emergency medical treatment by Red Cross staff.
According to the police, it turned out that the 34-year-old had not had a valid driver’s license since 2017; it had been revoked at the time. It is shown.
