A hotel employee is alleged to have abused a colleague – an acquittal was reached on Monday during the trial at the Salzburg regional court.
The suspect (29) and his victim worked in the same hotel in the Salzburger Land. On April 12, they celebrated the end of the season with colleagues. After a few drinks, the woman wanted to go home, the Slovak – himself in a long-term relationship – offered her to wait for the train in his teacher’s room.
That’s where it happened: “Amicably,” as the Slovak emphasized on Monday during the trial at the Salzburg Regional Court. “We hugged each other and then undressed each other.” The victim described it differently to the authorities: the man allegedly abused the woman with violence. It is said that he blindfolded her and tied her hands.
According to a report, the woman has been suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder ever since. She did not file a complaint immediately, but only after eight months. Also, according to the lawyer, there were inconsistent statements from the alleged victim.
And the jury senate sees it that way too. He acknowledged “significant inconsistencies” – acquittal, not legally binding.
