They accuse the company of “neglect” of public services and “lack of intention to maintain and promote jobs” in Navarra.
The Renfe Business Committee in Navarra has the “deterioration of public services offered to travelers”, with a “gradual deterioration“, an “alarming increase” in incidents and with “continuing disruptions that affect comfort.”
The workers’ representatives have deplored with one voice the “clear lack of commitment to the railway as a means of transport in Navarra”, as well as the connection with Álava, and a “neglect existing in the current services”.
The unions reveal that the train operators, intervention groups (which are based in the Foral community of Navarra and operate most of the medium-distance trains that cross Navarra to neighbouring provinces) and ticket office staff are “below the minimum” of staff.
This affects the operation of the service and seriously impacts the quality of service, demonstrating a lack of intent to preserve and promote jobs in the regional community, they say.
They also warn of a “serious problem” in the management of the workshops in Zaragoza and Miranda de Ebro (Burgos), where repairs and maintenance are carried out on medium-distance vehicles that travel through Navarra, Álava and neighbouring provinces.
