In the Lungau in Salzburg, two car accidents occurred on Sunday. First, two vehicles collided head-on. Three people were injured. A few hours later, another accident occurred – on the Murtalstrasse (B96) at the Tamsweg. A total of three people were injured in the collision, two of them seriously.
New alarm about a car accident in Lungau: For reasons that are still unclear, two cars collided on Sunday afternoon in the Murtalstrasse in Tamsweg-Penk. A large contingent of volunteer fire brigades, police and the Red Cross were at the scene of the accident around 17:30.
Two injured people were rescued from the car by the Red Cross. The Tamsweg volunteer fire department had to use rescue shears to cut a third person from the wrecked car.
The now alerted Christophorus 14 medical emergency helicopter brought the seriously injured to the hospital in Klagenfurt. Two people, one seriously injured, were taken by ambulance to the Tamsweg Hospital.
The emergency services had to completely close the B96 until shortly before 8 p.m.
