In the night from Monday to Tuesday, the asylum accommodation in Schönau im Mühlkreis (Upper Austria) was completely destroyed after an arson attack. The inn is a ruin. Now there is a discussion in the city about the day before and after the fire. At the center of the debate are the fire brigade, the innkeeper and a “sausage party”.
Even five days after the fire at the asylum center in Schönau im Mühlkreis, there is no peace in the town of 2,000. As reported, a fire completely destroyed the former “Oberndorfer Stub’m” and 16 refugees had to be relocated. After initially saying there was no evidence of foul play, investigators from the State Criminal Police discovered that fuel had been used to start the fire. An arsonist has not yet been identified.
