Ed Sheeran seems like a down-to-earth, cool guy – and has a knack for successful PR. The British pop star surprised a rather perplexed-looking jogger while she was in a boat and asked her what her favorite song was. He grabbed the strings and she filmed with him!
Imagine yourself jogging along a canal, enjoying your morning run, and suddenly a superstar from the music scene speaks to her in a friendly manner!
This happened to a – as yet unknown – jogger. In a video from BBC Breakfast TV on X, the 33-year-old can be seen sitting in a boat with his guitar and sailing along a canal. When he sees a jogger, he waves at her.
Sheeran calls out, “Hello, any wishes?” The young woman replies, “Can you, hmm, ‘Tenerife Sea’?” Sheeran simply replies, “Yeah,” and immediately begins. The woman pulls out her cell phone and starts filming.
After a while, the superstar ends the serenade, gives a thumbs up and shouts: “Enjoy the rest of your run!” The jogger later told the BBC it was “so crazy.”
“That was so crazy!”
“I was walking down to the canal when I heard music and saw someone sitting in the bow of a boat: a guy with red hair. I said to myself, ‘He looks a bit like Ed Sheeran.'” As she got closer, she realized, “That’s Ed Sheeran!”
When he asked her what music she wanted, she felt a little dizzy, Nikki reported. The whole thing felt surreal.
