Carlos Gimeno.”

All Navarra Public Education Unions have denounced a “clear lack of will” in the negotiations on the agreement Government of Navarreleft the meeting of the Education Sector Board ten minutes after the start and maintained the strike call for next Thursday.

Representatives of all trade union organizations participating in the Negotiating table for the public education sector – Steilas, Anpe, Afapna, LAB, CCOO, ELA and UGT – declared in a brief appearance before the Foral Parliament that they left the meeting when they noticed “a clear lack of will on the part of the Ministry to meet their demands. “We were called to convey our demands (…) The first surprise was that the department claims not to know the teachers’ requests, while we have repeatedly conveyed them to them (…) We have asked if they are willing to finance the measures that meet the needs of the Navarrese public education system, such as the reduction of ratios, staff stability, teacher overload and the recovery of purchasing power, among others”, they stressed.

For its part, the Ministry of Education of the Government of Navarre has criticized the fact that the education unions left the Education Sector Table “ten minutes after it started, without listening to the proposals that the department wanted to convey to them through the mouth of advisor Carlos Gimeno.”

As the regional executive stated in a press release, Education “has convened a meeting of the Education Sector Council with two points on the agenda: analyze the demands of the unions and sign the agreement for the distribution of 1,001 hours of teacher reinforcement, which will entail the recruitment of teachers in 41 Navarrese educational centers”.
