The Lipizzaner stallion “Neapolitano Sessana” caused a stir at the Piber Stud on Sunday: the animal escaped. But his “escape” did not last long.
“Neapolitano Sessana” is already one of the “retired” stallions of the West Styrian Lipizzaner stud in Piber. Not so long ago, a separate area was set up for these animals, as a kind of “Ausgedinge”.
On the way to the mares
And from there he briefly escaped on Sunday afternoon, the spokeswoman for the Spanish Riding School confirms a message from “ORF”. According to this, the stallion managed to open his box in the stable and then proceeded to the paddock where the stud’s mares are currently with their foals.
After a short time, the staff of the stud brought the stallion back. Nothing happened, emphasized people at the Manege, where you can laugh about the incident: “So our retired stallions are still fit.”
