In July, 1,800 mortgage contracts were signed in the BAC and 467 in Navarra. Moreover, the average amount of mortgages on residential properties was 159,287 euros in the BAC, while in Navarra it was 128,492 euros.

The average interest rate on new residential mortgages was 3.17%, the lowest since June 2023, and the average term was 25 years. In terms of the interest rate used, 41.0% of residential mortgages were taken out with a variable interest rate and 59.0% with a fixed interest rate.
