From October 1, there will be an important change in the “electronic parking ticket”: after the abolition of parking with mobile phones in Vorarlberg, Salzburg and Burgenland in favor of EasyPark, Carinthia, Styria, Upper and Lower Austria and Tyrol will now follow suit.
The new digital parking ticket solution will then be valid throughout the country, with the exception of Vienna. Users can transfer directly via the EasyPark app in around 120 communities (see video above). This is available in Austria and surrounding countries and is intended to make parking easier and cheaper.
Only the actual parking time is paid
The parking process can be started, stopped or extended spontaneously at any time. Most cities charge per minute, so you only pay for the actual parking time.
In the future, cross-border parking and ticketless parking will also be possible in many garages in Austria using cameras with license plate recognition.
In Vienna, in addition to EasyPark, it is still possible to pay with mobile parking. Mobile phone parking was deactivated in July in the states of Burgenland, Vorarlberg and Salzburg.
