Heinrich Strießnig donated blood 150 times to save lives. For this he was nominated as the “Krone” sincere person! But the Klagenfurt resident is also a passionate person because of another passion!
“For us, Mr. Strießnig is not just a blood donor, but a lifesaver,” praises Imrana Jashari, organizational manager of the blood donation system in Carinthia. Heinrich Strießnig from Klagenfurt “stretched out his arm a total of 150 times”, which is why the 72-year-old was nominated by his son Thomas for the heartfelt “Krone” campaign.
“For the past twenty years, I have donated blood about five times a year,” says the fit resident of Klagenfurt proudly. “Anyone who does this work and always takes the time is certainly a person with a heart,” says Albert Sima, medical director of the blood donation service.
What is the motivation behind this: “I would like to use the motto of the Red Cross: Out of love for people,” says Strießnig, who also delighted hearts as a singer with the Carinthian double sextet for 25 years.
