Surprising growth at Henndorfer Gut Aiderbichl! At 3:12 am a donkey girl was born. The donkey mother “Simona” only came to Aiderbichl in the summer and was completely neglected upon arrival.
“Our donkey girl is only a few hours old, but she is already incredibly curious and openly approaches us,” says head zookeeper Lisa happily. Donkey mother “Simona” was brought from Italy to Henndorf this summer together with her fellow sufferer Franka. She must have already been pregnant at that time.
Because her fur was covered in wounds and her hooves were fully grown, she first had to regain trust in the people of Gut Aiderbichl. Simona proves how well the loving care at Gut Aiderbichl has worked, especially at these moments, because according to the caregivers she is an incredibly relaxed mother.
The sweet donkey girl doesn’t have a name yet. “We are once again pleased to receive name suggestions from readers,” says Dieter Ehrengruber, director and board member of the Gut Aiderbichl foundation.
“Mother and daughter are also looking forward to your visit to the donkey house in Gut Aiderbichl Henndorf,” said the director.
You can send name suggestions to salzburg@kronenzeitung.at.
