who shot – Police murder: suspect accuses accomplices!

Date:

Nearly five months after the fatal shots fired at two police officers in the German district of Kusel in Rhineland-Palatinate, the trial of the alleged gunman began on Tuesday. But main suspect Andreas S. (39) accused his alleged accomplice Florian V. (33) at the beginning of the trial. The two police officers Yasmin B. (24) and Chief Inspector Alexander K. (29) were killed by several shots at the end of January during a traffic stop, presumably to cover up poaching.

His client heard shots fired during the incident in late January and was “perplexed,” Andreas S.’s lawyer said in a statement at the start of the trial in the court in Kaiserslautern on Tuesday. His client also fired afterward — but “just to make sure he wasn’t shot again,” the lawyer said, describing a sort of self-defense situation. The 39-year-old saw muzzle flashes in the confusing nighttime situation and fired in this direction. After the incident in Kusel, he wanted to turn himself in to the authorities in Saarland, but he wanted to speak to his wife beforehand – so a special task force (SEK) confronted him and arrested him.

Accomplice denies complicity
The 33-year-old accomplice’s lawyer dismissed the bill as inaccurate and “predictable”. It was as his client described during the interrogation. After about an hour, the court adjourned the trial until next Monday (June 27).

The prosecutor’s office accuses the 39-year-old of shooting a 24-year-old police officer and her 29-year-old colleague with multiple shots during a nighttime traffic stop to cover up poaching. The prosecution charges the man with two murders, “out of greed and to cover up a crime”.

Multiple witnesses and experts loaded
Justice accuses the second man, among other things, of attempted evasion of criminal charges – he helped cover the tracks. In addition, both are accused of joint nighttime hunting poaching. According to justice, the two suspects fled and were arrested a few hours later in Saarland. The crime caused horror all over Germany. Until September 9, 14 appointments are scheduled and many experts and witnesses have been invited.
