Euskaraz irakurri: Lehen greba eguna dute ostegun honetan Bizkaiko metalgintza sectorean
The trade unions ELA, CCOO, LAB, UGT, ESK, USO, CGT and CNT have called for this Thursday to support the strike that started in the Metal sector of Biscay, due to the blocking of negotiations to renew the agreement affecting more than 50,000 workers. They will also go on strike on June 30 and July 1.
A manifestation It departs at 11:30 am from the headquarters of the employers’ organization FVEM in Bilbao to the Arriaga Bridge.
After the ninth meeting held last Wednesday at the Labor Relations Council (CRL) in Bilbao, unions criticized the Biscayan Federation of Metal Companies (FVEM) not bringing anything new to the negotiations.
For this reason, the unions stated in a joint note that “now is the time to intensively prepare the metal strikes in Bizkaia”, calling for the days June 23 and 30 and July 1.
In this sense, the unions condemned FVEM’s “irresponsible attitude” and found the employer’s position “very incomprehensible”.
On the other hand, on 13 June, several hundred metal workers demonstrated in Bizkaia in front of the Bilbao Exhibition Center (BEC) on the occasion of the opening of the Machine Tool Biennial.
