On the stage at Howard University, which emptied on election night as the results became final, Harris promised that “the light of the promised America will return as long as we keep working and keep fighting.”
“Today I spoke with President-elect Trump and congratulated him on his victory. I also told him that we will help him and his team in his transition and that we will participate in a peaceful transfer of power“, he assured.
However, the US vice president has indicated that she will not stop fighting “for freedom, for opportunity, for justice and the dignity of all people.” “A fight for the founding ideals of our nation, the ideals that reflect the best of America,” he said.
