Fright for a ten-year-old girl on Monday in Tyrol! The child was held by an unknown man on the way to school and injured with a sharp object. Police are now asking for information.
Shortly before 7:30 a.m., the girl left her parents’ house in Gries im Sellrain (Innsbruck-Land district) and headed to school. The attack is said to have taken place on Praxmarer Straße near the Zirmbach Bridge. “According to current information, the child was followed and held by the man,” police explained.
Cuts on the upper arms
The student was initially able to escape. But when she tried to run away towards school, the stranger grabbed her again. “He caused small cuts to her upper arms with a sharp object,” investigators said.
According to the description of the perpetrator, the unknown man is a man in his mid-forties, wearing dark clothing and black sneakers. The Kematen police station requests all relevant information (tel. 059133/7115).
