Terrible accident at work on Friday evening in the Tyrolean Unterland: A 38-year-old Slovakian was trapped with head and upper body in a machine for unknown reasons at a metal processing plant in Schwoich (Kufstein district) and was seriously injured.
The fatal accident happened around 0:30 a.m.: the 38-year-old worker was trying to repair a malfunction of a machine in a factory hall when it suddenly happened. For reasons unknown, his head and torso were trapped in the machine.
Liberated by firefighters
A colleague from work found the 38-year-old and immediately notified rescue services. The Slovak was eventually rescued from the machine by the fire service,” said the police. The worker suffered serious injuries. After receiving first aid, he was taken by ambulance to the Kufstein district hospital.
