Operation of the professional fire brigade on Thursday evening: an apartment on Brigittenauer Salzachstrasse burned down. The resident fled himself and one of his neighbors had to be led out with the help of Florianis. The cause is still unclear.
The owner of the apartment probably alerted the emergency services himself around 8:30 p.m. He managed to escape from his burning apartment on his own. Seven vehicles with thirty firefighters immediately rushed to the house, not far from All Saints Square. When they arrived at the location, thick black smoke was already coming from the window of an apartment on the first floor of the apartment building.
Neighbor was brought outside
Fire brigade spokesman Christian Feiler confirmed to the Crown on Thursday evening that the operation took about an hour. According to Feiler, a fire line with respiratory protection was installed and at the same time the smoke-filled stairwell was ventilated with a powerful fan. The resident of the adjacent apartment had to be evacuated by the fire brigade and taken outside. It is still unclear what caused the fire.
