Vouchers are becoming increasingly popular as gifts under the Christmas tree. But the recipient doesn’t always get around to redeeming them right away – and then problems often arise when companies mention time limits in small print. According to current surveys by the Chamber of Commerce, almost every second Austrian is already giving away vouchers for Christmas. However, this is not always a pleasure – for example if the wellness card for a visit to the thermal bath is only valid for six months or the hotel stay can never be redeemed because there are too many exceptions and it also expires after one year. Can that even happen?
