Trump continues in the post: “When are you coming to the ‘center of the universe’, Mar-a-Lago also asked if Bill Gates could come that evening, the president-elect chats on the website Truth Social, the platform he founded .
Trump is apparently referring to Musk’s son
Musk’s name is not mentioned in the post, but Trump explains in the post: “We miss you and X!” X is not only the name of Musk’s short message service, formerly called Twitter, but also the pet name of his son XII, one of the three children he has with musician Grimes. At the end, Trump promises: “New Year’s Eve is going to be FANTASTIC!”
The message makes little sense as a public message, but it does make sense as a private message to Musk. The politician and the billionaire have been close allies since the election campaign. It is therefore not unlikely that they will also celebrate the new year together.
