A 66-year-old man from Styria died in a tractor accident in Deutschfeistritz last weekend. The car is believed to have tipped over a slope several times. It was not until the next day that the dead body was found by a relative.
On Saturday afternoon, the 66-year-old only wanted to do woodwork on his property. He probably ended up diagonally on a slope and the tractor slipped, according to evidence. The vehicle rolled several times over a slope and only came to a stop after 50 meters on a flatter piece of meadow.
The Styrian was thrown from the tractor. He suffered serious head and leg injuries and died on the spot.
A family member only found the 66-year-old on Sunday. According to police, she came to visit, looked for the man and alerted emergency services. But all help came too late. There are no indications of foul play.
