Four people rescued – fire brigade response after carbon monoxide leak

Large-scale fire brigade operation on Sunday in the Tyrolean municipality of Kramsach. Rescue workers were dispatched to the terraced house due to a medical emergency. Her CO detector sounded the alarm.

The Kramsach fire brigade responded around 9:30 am on Sunday after a rescue team’s CO warning device sounded the alarm. Emergency services were present in the building due to a medical emergency. The fire brigade finally took a closer look at the situation using heavy breathing apparatus and a multiple gas appliance.

Elevated carbon monoxide levels
In fact, elevated carbon monoxide levels could be measured. It is very likely that a defect in the heating system is the cause of the carbon monoxide leak.

Three people were taken to hospital by ambulance for further medical examination. One person was flown by emergency helicopter to the clinic in Murnau (Germany).
