The study places should be expanded, the medical admission test should be reconsidered and the LKH Hochsteiermark should be upgraded to the “second flagship of the Kages”. We just don’t know yet where we can save money. The new (and old) State Health Councilor of Styria, Karlheinz Kornhäusl, in conversation with the “Krone”.
“Krone”: Before the elections, you wanted to close the hospitals in Schladming, Aussee and Rottenmann and convert them into specialized medical centers. The new government partner wants to keep the hospitals. Do you find anything positive about this request?
Karlheinz Kornhäusl: The election results must be accepted, we are now working on a plan B and on that basis we will make further decisions. But it’s never a bad idea to take a second look; I learned that in my work as a doctor. What unites the rulers then and now: Everyone wants the best possible care for Styria.
