Serious traffic accident Tuesday in Vienna: In Donaustadt, a twelve-year-old girl was hit by a 39-year-old car on the protective path. The child suffered life-threatening injuries.
The serious accident happened around 6.20 pm at the intersection of Stadlauer Strasse and Langobardenstrasse. Witnesses said both the pedestrian and traffic lights were green. The twelve-year-old crossed the street, the 39-year-old wanted to turn left at the intersection into Langobardenstrasse. There was a collision.
The 12-year-old fell and suffered life-threatening injuries, police said. The child was first aided by rescue services and taken to hospital.
