Muface will change the conditions of the tender for the second concert and invalidate the deadline of 27 January

Date:

The Insurer Adeslas has indicated that if Muface would “make an adequate proposal” for an offer for the next National Assistance Concert, it would “reconsider himself” his current position and would take “the necessary steps to take his presence in Muface favorably to continue “.

The General Mutual Society of State Civil Servants will change the conditions of the second tender for the next MufAce National Assistance Concert, so the deadline for submitting bids that passed on Monday 27 January is invalid.

The mutual society has stated that a new deadline will be agreed for submitting offers, and that, as long as this issue has been resolved, “all” mutual members, both owners and beneficiaries, will continue to receive the same health care if they enjoy under the current one circumstances.

Just after the joint company had made this announcement, Adeslas assured in a statement that it has maintained various contacts with the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Public Services in the past week and that “considerable progress” has been made as a result of these conversations. That would enable us to resolve the current situation and to define an honest, balanced and sustainable model for Muface.

“If this progress is consolidated in an adequate proposal from the government,” the company would “reconsider the current position and take the necessary steps to continue his presence in Mface.”

The deadline was extended the second time

This is the second tender launched by Mupace and the second time that the deadline for receiving offers from insurers has been extended, with whom the government is negotiating against the clock to give continuity to the dual health care model of officials in the coming three years Choose between public or private health care.

DKV and Adeslashad two of the providers who currently serve 1.5 million beneficiaries, including civil servants and family members, that they would not participate in the competition under the published conditions, because they were of the opinion that the premium offered by Mface would ensure that they Losing a million dollars would suffer.

According to the specifications, the average premium per mutual participant per year of 1,032.12 euros now goes to 1,262.28 euros in 2027.

A week ago, the government responded to a binding consultation formulated by ASISA in the context of the tender, in which it clarified that it would compensate for the insurers participating in the new agreement if there are “significant variations” in the costs of the providing the service in certain cases.

The Minister of Digital Transformation and Public Services, óscar López, seemed “optimistic” and “almost convinced” on Friday that there will be agreement to continue with the concert.

An open debate about the model

In addition to this new contract, the situation has opened the debate on the suitability of a system in which the State co -financed private health insurance policies for government officials.

There are discrepancies within the Executive itself. In his election program, Sumar has already proposed the gradual extinction of private health care for civil servants and the Ministry of Health recently published a report on this.

For the PSOE, according to the Head of Public Function, Oscar López, it is a debate that can be discussed, but as soon as the situation has been resolved for the next three years.

All those months, the trade unions have demanded the continuity of this model, that they refuse to describe as a ‘privilege’. CCOO and UGT have asked the government and the insurers to make an effort to guarantee its continuity, and CSIF has already announced a call for strike if the tender would be invalid again.

Other trade unions (Anpe, Fedeca, SIAT, SPP, SUP, UFP, Usie and Uso) have created a platform to jointly defend and demand the continuity of this service, whereby they demand responsibility of all parties this week for the head office of Mface in Madrid.
