Iraqi Salwan Momika had burned a Quran several times in Sweden, making the headlines and resentment. Now the 38-year-old was shot near Stockholm: the crime was broadcast live on Tiktok. The police are investigating murder.
Momika was supposed to appear before the court on Thursday, but the appointment was postponed until 3 February: “Because Salwan Momika is dead,” the authority was quoted by local media. The exile Iraker was shot on Wednesday evening in the suburb of Stockholm of Södertalje. His body was discovered in his apartment on Thursday evening.
Koran wish: shoes wiped and played football
Momika and another Christian exile Iker, Salwan Najem, were accused of “agitation against an ethnic group”. The two had burned and desecrated the costs of the Quran. So they played football with the holy book, wiped their shoes with it and pork put in it. This made angry many Muslims angry: the Swedish embassy was stormed in a protest in Baghdad. Even NATO TOKING OF THE LAND was delayed because of the incidents.
Exile Iraker killed during the live stream
Especially dramatic: Momika would have just broadcast a live stream on Tiktok when it was attacked. The newspaper “Aftonbladet” reported on a video in which a police officer shows the recording on a mobile phone and the clip immediately stops.
Co -known fears for his life
The judgment must be made on Thursday in the incitement process. The fellow fellow Najem confirmed the death of his colleague to the daily newspaper “Svenska Dagbladet”: “I’m afraid I’m next to it,” he said.
The public prosecutor said that five people could already be arrested for suspicion of murder, but did not give any further details about their identity.
