Volkswagen Navarra activates the night turn on 7 February to restore production

The Volkswagen Navarra Directorate, in a meeting that urgently gathered, has informed the business committee the need to activate the night shift in the meeting, engines and painting on 7 February, a turn that was marked in the calendar as Erte.

This request, has reported UGT in a statement, is due to the works and changes that were made during the holiday period for the electrification of the factory, which generated various problems this week, causing more than 400 cars in the assembly workshop .

It was also reported that volunteers were asked yesterday to work in the meeting, motorbikes and paint this Friday evening, with the intention of carrying out 50 to 100 cars in the interior chain of the Assembly workshop.

UGT is of the opinion that this is years of transformation and that ‘the’ normality ‘is that these extraordinary situations are given, which are collected in the Erte and Calendar Agreement signed in December, in accordance with the request submitted, as for it complies with what has been agreed “

The trade union has emphasized the cooperation by the workforce, “responding positively to the request to work voluntarily tonight with so little prior to notification.”
