In the Australian state of Queensland, a young person (17) was attacked and killed by a shark while swimming in the sea. The accident took place for the Sand Island of Bribie Island near Brisbane.
The shark is said to have attacked the girl about 100 meters away from the coast of the coast (local time). In addition, she was ‘catastrophic’ on the upper body. The young people could no longer help the rushed rescuers.
It was initially unclear which shark it was. It was already the third shark attack in Queensland within three months. In December a man was killed by one of the predator fish on the spear fish near the island of Humpy in the Great Barrier Reef, a few weeks earlier another spear fisherman was attacked near Gladstone and wounded on both arms and a hand.
